Brock Lesnar Re-Signs With WWE

Updated: March 25, 2015

The talk in sports entertainment over the last few months was the future of current WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar.  Lesnar’s contract was up the day after WrestleMania when he takes on Roman Reigns for the championship.  Yesterday Lensar came out and told ESPN that he has re-signed with the WWE and has retired from fighting in the UFC.  Lesnar left UFC after a health scare and has not returned to the octagon.  He is 37 years old and mentioned being an entertainer and his family for reasons why he is walking away.  As for WrestleMania, the outcome could change now that Lesnar has re-signed.  He has been dominant and built up to be the Beast in his latest run as WWE champion.  The WWE has given Roman Reins a big push.  Reins comes from a family with major wrestling ties. He is a former football player and developed in NXT which is the WWE’s farm system. Lesnar’s return to WWE could keep the championship around his waist for just a bit longer. The recent push for Reigns can only grow with the help of Lesnar and eventually pass the torch as the future of the WWE.
